The CSSB distributes T4A’s to pension recipients in late January/early February for the prior tax year. Pension recipients can receive their T4A in one of two ways:
- If registered for the CSSB Online Services, you will receive an email notification when your T4A is available in your Online Services account. Pensioners who use this option will generally be able to access their T4A earlier than those who receive them by mail, and can access copies at their convenience. To view and print the statement, sign in and select Retrieve T4A from your list of options. Select the year of the T4A you’d like to retrieve and it will be delivered to your Inbox (top left corner of screen under Document Centre). The T4A will show up as Unread. Upon selecting the T4A, your computer may ask whether you want to Open or Save the document. Opening it will allow you to view and print it without taking up space on your computer’s memory. Once a document is opened, its status will change to Read and will remain in your Inbox until you decide to delete it.
- If you retrieve your T4A, we will not mail you a copy.
- If you elect not to retrieve your T4A, it will be mailed by the end of February.
- For those not registered for the CSSB Online Services, T4A’s will be mailed by the end of February.
Important note: If mail is returned from the last known address of the pension recipient, the CSSB will make reasonable attempts to contact the recipient and update the information. Upon the discretion of the CSSB, further pension payments may cease until contact is made with the pension recipient.
