Starting the week of April 27, 2026, the City of Winnipeg will begin road construction on St. Mary Ave between Edmonton Street and Memorial Boulevard.

Construction is expected to last about 24 weeks (until October 12, 2026), depending on the weather.

During construction:

• St. Mary Ave will be reduced to one lane of traffic.
• On-street parking will not be available. We recommend using nearby parking lots.
• Sidewalk access will be maintained on both sides of the street.
• When sidewalks are under construction, a temporary pathway on the street with ramps to businesses and residents will be provided.
