Electronic signature policy
If you’re signing a CSSB document electronically, these are the signature formats we accept. Our policy varies based on how you submit your document and the type of document you submit.
1. Send a document by email, mail, or fax
What we accept
Electronically handwritten signature
You’ve uploaded a picture of your handwritten signature and added it to the electronic document.

Printed, signed, and scanned signatures
You’ve printed the document, signed it by hand, and then scanned or taken a picture of it.

Handwritten signature that’s captured electronically and embedded
You’ve used a mouse, touchscreen, or stylus to write your signature electronically.

Signature marks
If you’re unable to sign your name, we accept a mark as a signature as long as another person witnesses it. We may need more information to verify that the mark and witness meet our requirements.
What we don’t accept
Typed signatures
For documents that are emailed, mailed, or faxed to CSSB, we don’t accept typed signatures (including script fonts).
